Our Mission
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance serves as an organization that identifies, creates and provides educational opportunities that build our workforce and support lifelong learning. We are the “people” part of economic development and take a united and holistic approach to delivering services drawing on the strength of shared knowledge and action.
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance believes that education is the key to improving economic growth for the individual, the local community and the region. Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance improves the quality of life for residents of Wayne and Pike Counties by promoting skills enhancement, educational attainment and entrepreneurial development.
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance recognizes that an assortment of community stakeholders has a role in workforce development. We partner with providers to offer educational programs that include programs and courses leading to professional and occupational certification, college degrees, and skills development for the community’s workforce.
As a designated Community Education Council (CEC), we bring educational opportunities to rural or educationally underserved communities. As a PA CareerLink® Affiliate, Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how jobseekers find sustaining jobs and how employers find skilled candidates.
