Essential Skills/Digital Literacy
For most of us, computer and internet skills — the skills that constitute basic digital literacy — have been "learned by doing" through years of use and practice. Those who have fallen behind the digital learning curve and now want to catch up often need help to get started.
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance's Essential Skills — Digital Literacy Training Program is sponsored by the PA Department of Labor & Industry in partnership with the Wayne Library Alliance, The Stourbridge Project Business Incubator, and the local CareerLink® Affiliate Office in Wayne County.
Individuals of all ages benefit from our Digital Literacy Training initiative. Over the last year, 275 Wayne and Pike county residents have completed courses to learn and improve their technological skills and overcome the discomfort barrier through group classes for beginners to more advanced programs.
Our programs are provided by the Hamlin, Honesdale and Newfoundland libraries and The Stourbridge Project. Programs include:

Computers for the Terrified
