3D Printing Basics on the Ultimaker

In this class you'll learn the basics of 3D modeling objects on the free design program TinkerCAD, how to calibrate an Ultimaker for printing, and how to troubleshoot basic issues that might cause your print to fail. You can plan to complete three small unique printed projects during the class using a material called PLA. 

Project 1: 3D Keychain
Project 2: "Holder of Things" small desk item organizer
Project 3:"Personal Project"-come up with an object you'd like to print and receive guidance on how to build and print it.  

Class Size: Limited to 8, minimum of 5.

Age restriction: Good for ages 13 and up. Underage people must be accompanied by an adult for the entire session.

 About Your Instructor

Lisa Glover is a designer with a background in Engineering, Architecture and Fine Art. She has run 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, created STEAM curricula for several summer camps, and is now helping millions of kids become makers through her work at Highlights for Children. Her passion is merging technology with craft to design creations that inspire kids of all ages.
