This program is designed for helping new and aspiring entrepreneurs launch a business idea and to understand the steps to building a business that is credit-ready. 

Part 1: Basics of business startup and How and where to find additional small business support and educational resources.

We have scheduled each module for a morning and afternoon workshop, allowing you to select the Module 1 and Module 2 that best fits your schedule. It is recommended that the modules be taken in order. The U.S. Small Business Administration makes the American dream of business ownership a reality. As the only go-to resource and voice for small businesses backed by the strength of the federal government, the SBA empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources and support they need to start, grow or expand their businesses, or recover from a declared disaster.  Services to Wayne and Pike Counties are delivered through the Eastern Pennsylvania SBA District Office in King of Prussia and through partnerships with public and private organizations.

Your facilitator is Sonia Smith, Public Information Officer with the SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Office. Sonia was a successful entrepreneur who started a home-based tech business and grew it to 15 full-time employees before selling it and joining the public sector.
