The PA CareerLink services in Honesdale has moved to a new home on Park Street starting today. Earlier this year, the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance won the regional contract to provide the PA CareerLink services that includes bringing together workers, employers and training opportunities as well as assisting with unemployment compensation requirements, in partnership with the state. An Open House has been scheduled for Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 am. Light refreshments will be served.
The Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance is also planning a Fall Career Fair in the Park Street Complex Cafeteria Nov. 1, from 3 to 7 pm. The event is free for employers and for job seekers, but vendor space is limited and businesses must register by tomorrow by calling 570-390-7613 or email workforce@wpworkforce.org .
